Grand driving tour Thessaloniki

“Charming local guide”

We are season travelers who travel independently usually around the world. This time, in preparation for the visit to Thessaloniki, and due to the history of the Jewish community there, we decided to use the service of a local guide who would give us added value to the visit. We used the tips on the website and chose Daisy. A great success. Daisy, who speaks English but also understands a little Hebrew, knows the city, the general Greek history, the events of the Jewish community, its markets, and its restaurants. A day of sightseeing with gracious Daisy was unusually enriching and enjoyable and in addition, Daisy “equipped” us with tips for the rest of the visit (excellent restaurants, a recommendation for a hotel in the town of Veroia, trips in the area, etc.). highly recommend!

“Daisy’s Tour in Thessaloniki”

We arrived in Thessaloniki and hired the guidance services of Daisy and her daughter, Ester, in the city of Thessaloniki, by car. An exhaustive and very impressive tour, which gave us a very impressive and moving picture, especially in the Jewish aspect from an impressive woman like her, who was born and lived the past and history of the Jews in Greece. In addition, Daisy was very concerned and kept in contact throughout our trip and gave us the advice to continue outside of Thessaloniki. Highly recommend.

Daisy Azaria – an amazing guide!

Daisy guided us in Thessaloniki for about 6 hours. The tour was private – for two. Daisy had a lot of knowledge about the city in general and Jewish history in particular. The trip with her was fascinating. Daisy is a pleasant and kind woman with a great desire to help in any matter. She sent us various recommendations on WhatsApp and answered every question that came up. We really enjoyed meeting Daisy and would love to meet her again when we return to Thessaloniki. In conclusion – a highly recommended guideline.

“Esther Azaria, a wonderful guide”

Esther is a Jew who was born and raised in Thessaloniki, the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor with a wonderful story of survival.

I contacted Esther the day before the trip via WhatsApp and the communication was excellent -we arranged for a 4-hour walking tour when Esther would drop by my hotel.

Esther speaks excellent English and a little Hebrew.

Esther arrived at my hotel on time and we started the tour in the center of Thessaloniki.

We went to all the important sites in the city with Esther’s extensive and excellent explanations. She answered all the questions kindly and while showing extensive knowledge was very kind with a wonderful sense of humor I just had a wonderful tour interesting and very much waiting that I would not have received if I was traveling alone.

I wholeheartedly recommend taking Esther. Esther’s mother Daisy also makes tours outside of Thessaloniki with a car in northern Greece.

“Esther is a fun and excellent guide for getting to know Thessaloniki”

I spent about four hours with Esther on a tour of Thessaloniki at my request in advance. The tour focused on the Jewish community in Thessaloniki over the years. Esther conveyed the tour and the information in an interesting and experienced four hours that flew by and left me with new knowledge and curiosity for more. During the tour, we connected to the atmosphere of the city of Thessaloniki and its history in general and the Jewish community in particular. was fascinating. Strongly recommended.

“Excellent guide for Thessaloniki”
We arrived, 2 couples, for a long weekend in Thessaloniki.

We spent a day and a half with the instructor Daisy Azaria. We had a great time.

Daisy (daughter of Holocaust survivors), born in Thessaloniki, knows every place in the city and every detail in the history of the city and its Jews. Daisy invests a lot and does not spare her time. Together with her, we traveled on foot and by car to interesting points all over the city.

Highly recommend Daisy.

“must do!” Thessaloniki walking tour with Ester

We really enjoyed a tour of Thessaloniki 10 days ago with Esther Azaria, Daisy’s daughter. Charming, and knowledgeable. Esther guided us for 4 hours – a fascinating tour with an emphasis on Jewish history in the city and in general. Highly recommended!
